the vision
who is cora's helping hands?
CEO and founder of Cora's Helping Hands, Shanta Hogan, and her family know first hand through their shared experiences of homelessness, financial insecurity, and food disparity what it means to meet the individual need of a family in a community at that time. They are the resident experts in serving families and communities intentionally with faith-based principles on love, hope, and charity to drive change and action across all cities in Illinois.
With only a little over a year in operation, Cora's Helping Hands has been serving various communities throughout Illinois, feeding the homeless, providing shelter and assisted resources, hosting community events and activities throughout the year. Each event is grounded in spreading hope, joy, and laughter to all who attend.
In tandem with our mission to help families and communities worldwide recover, restore, and revive their livelihood when life goes wrong. We make this mission happen through our collaborative partnerships, resources, and workshops, planned with a purpose, rooted in charity, educating families in all communities, and building resources and development.
the vision
With Cora's Helping Hands vision for communities founded on Faith and centered on prayers, Proverbs 11:25 is rooted in their drive to help others.
Proverbs 11:25 Amplified Bible (AMP)
The generous man is a source of blessing and shall be prosperous and enriched, And he who waters will himself be watered reaping the generosity he has sown.
